Join Karen at her Chalkhill Studio in Olivers Battery, Winchester for enchanting painting or glass fusing experiences.
The perfect start for the beginner in art “I specialise with people who really don’t know where to start in their art journey. I have a background in teaching and guiding adults and find it best to start with simple mark making building up from there. I like to explore with what works for them.”
Karen was awarded an MA in Fine Art at the Winchester School of Art & Design and has been a practising art professional for the last 16 years. She has exhibited throughout the UK. Her love for painting continues to develop and her work is often described as dreamlike with a whimsical edge.
Joining Karen in her studio you will be able to explore painting from a deeper level inspired by the beautiful landscapes around her or from your favourite photograph or memory. Karen’s studio location benefits from dramatic landscapes, skies, countryside and wildlife which she will be happy to explore with you and help you translate into your own painting. Karen works with many different mediums which she is happy to introduce her students to. She also paints on glass and slate, as well as producing painted fused glasswork.
This unique and truly personal experience will awaken the budding artist within, to feel and explore nature as a true artist for the day, complimented with light lunch and a refreshing drink.
