Description

Join Michael Wallner, one of today’s most contemporary and internationally acclaimed British artists. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on more than a thousand entertainment programs, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. Creating original and innovative art is his true passion. Now working from his studio in Wimbledon his latest works celebrate the beauty of the City through the shape, outline and colours that define its character. New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Paris and Dubai all feature in Michael’s portfolio. The art is created by digitally manipulating and painstakingly colouring his own photographs on a graphics tablet to produce art on usual materials. He works with brushed aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass and even 1930’s copper-lite windows.

Michael is constantly on the lookout for the most unusual views, angles and shapes for his work. Much of his art is created from aerial photographs. Michael is passionate about teaching children, he has 8 nieces and nephews ranging from 3-20 years of age. He also volunteers at Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital and is CRB checked.

This experience is inspired by the affectionate term of ‘turning your young trouble makers into art creators’. You can be sure that your child will have an amazing day learning about art and experimenting with different materials at Michael’s Wimbledon studio. You could even join them and have a family day together.
