Description

Join Andrew in his fantastic sculpture studio in central London for a one on one sculpture experience. Andrew was born in 1988 in Krakow and graduated with an MA degree in Fine Arts in the faculty of Sculpture from The Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2012. He also studied at Newcastle University in the department of Fine Art in 2010-2011. His work has been widely exhibited throughout Europe and collected by members of the Royal family such as the Camila Duchess of Cornwall and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

A figurative bronze sculptor Andrew has received extensive training in classical sculpture and in modern and contemporary art. His art touches many subjects and involves a variety of objects. He works in mediums such as natural clay, oil-based clay and wax, which can then be moulded and cast in bronze.

He has taught sculpture at the University of Arts London, University College Birmingham, and also catered private and group tutorials at my studio teaching portrait sculpture and human figure. He takes pride in enabling his students to release and develop their creative potential.

You will be introduced to figurative art and process of bronze casting. This will include tour around the studio and presentations of tools and technology Andrew uses. After the introduction you will be shown and taught drawing/sketching techniques at a short (30min-1h) life drawing session with a life model. Then Andrew will run a tutorial of sculpting a human figure. This tutorial will involve teaching, presentation of various sculpting techniques and working with life model. Within duration of the tutorial, you will accomplish a 1/4 or 1/5 scale figurine in natural clay on wire armature. Optionally you may choose to sculpt a portrait of the same model instead of the figurine and tutorial will be adjusted accordingly. You will have the option of taking produced sculpture with you home for additional materials cost of £70.
