Description

Join Alexandra Carr, world famous artist who works with patterns in nature, natural processes and phenomena. She has worked and collaborated with Jean-Paul Gaultier, been involved with model making for Sir Norman Foster as well as being commissioned by seminal musicians Radiohead. With Alexandra you can dive into another art world and find different ways of expressing yourself while experimenting with Metal Piercing or Artistic Practice and Installation. Of particular focus is the boundary between art, science and technology.

Metal Piercing Art Experience

This experience will take you through the jewellery techniques of piercing metal. At the end of the day you will come away with a small, metal, cut out image to take away. Students should bring some examples of images they would like to try. They must also bring a piercing saw (link will be given ahead of time). This is a somewhat skilled class so would be suitable for students with a little experience of materials or those that wish to challenge themselves.
