Join Susan in her hilltop studio and become immersed in the mystery of painting her garden. Expand your skills and express your creativity whilst exploring a tropical paradise. Award-winning artist, Susan Clare, will welcome you to her studio, home and garden and guide you to create your very own, nature-inspired work of art.
Enjoy a feast of inspiration, during this full day, private art experience, held in the hills of Kempshot, St James, just a 30 minute drive above Montego Bay, Jamaica. Susan is a professional, award-winning, international artist, with over twenty years’ experience of painting and tutoring in watercolours, acrylics and mixed media. Her inspiration comes from the natural world and focusses on shapes, colours and creating atmosphere through ambiguity. Choose, either watercolours or acrylics for your creative day. The unique setting for this experience will make your private painting class truly unforgettable.
After a brief studio tour, your morning will start by exploring the garden, with Susan, to find your lush tropical foliage and flowers, or landscape, inspiration and subject matter. Winding paths, steep stepping-stones, huge plants, trees, vines and ponds, as well as flowers and views across the southern hills, are in store. Discussing sketchbook use and planning your own painting will take place on the shady verandah, with fresh coffee from the Blue Mountains (or tea/cold refreshments). You will enjoy a light, healthy, home-made, organic lunch, including home-grown produce and home-made refreshments. Your afternoon of artistic fun and guidance will see you completing your painting. At the end of the day, your treasured piece will be wrapped and prepared for you to take home safely on the plane.

Light lunch, (including wine or a beer) and home-made refreshments/tea/coffee throughout the day, are included with this experience.
You must be aged 18 years or over to take part.

WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear light clothing that you do not mind getting messy. You may want insect repellent (a natural one is available onsite, to use). Wear flats, walking sandals or trainers for the garden tour.

The garden tour may be affected by rain, but it usually rains later in the day.
