Description
Join Melanie virtually in her studio for a 1 to 1 art experience. Melanie is an Anglo-American artist who has been working in reverse oils on glass since 2010 in a tradition linked to the Croatian Naive movement of the 20th century.
Melanie is mostly self-taught and balances her creative practice with caring for someone with autism. In the course of this session you will explore ways in which to cultivate your own creative well being, as well as learning how to paint on glass with confidence regardless of previous artistic experience.
The sessions will be unique to you and your interests allowing you to make the most of your time together. Areas of conversation may include other ways of working on glass, past and current artists working in this media, and insights into developing confidence and well-being through creative activities.
Duration: 5 hours over 3 sessions
Initial session of 30 min getting to know you + materials consultation, remaining sessions to be set 2 weeks apart to allow first layer of paint to dry before finishing a piece
Availability:
Monday-Friday between 10 am and 3 pm (term times only)
Requirements:
All levels of experience welcome, including absolute beginners, 18+
Materials will be decided at initial consultation

Extra materials cost tbc if being supplied from the artist.
